Monarch of Manhattan was the second novel written by Dan Humphrey. Set in an alternate universe where Manhattan is a monarchy, Monarch of Manhattan was only just sent to Dan's publisher in season five. It is unknown what became of this novel, as it was sabotaged by Chuck Bass into appearing plagiarized in an effort to have Dan dropped by his publisher.
By season six, Dan has apparently set Monarch of Manhattan aside to work on Inside Out.
