Summary[]
Zoya spends more time with Shan's family - much to Nick's annoyance - while Max's parents host an important dinner that descends into chaos.
Plot[]
Obie returns to Constance Billiard School at Grace's insistence after avoiding his friends over the winter break. Monet tries to establish a social hierarchy at the school, which causes tension in her friendship with Luna. Julien publicly humiliates Monet in front of a journalist, but Monet later reveals that she had manipulated the situation for more attention. Thanks to the anonymous social media account "Gossip Girl," Nick discovers that Zoya has been lying to him and staying with Shan. In an attempt to mend their relationship, Shan's family invites Nick and Zoya to dinner, but Nick berates them for their wealth, further damaging his relationship with Zoya. As rumors about the three-way relationship between Max, Aki, and Audrey intensify, Max struggles to sleep with other people while waiting for Aki and Audrey to sort out their feelings. To throw "Gossip Girl" off their trail, Aki and Audrey come up with a plan, but due to a series of miscommunications, they end up revealing their relationship with Max to Kiki, Roy, Gideon, and "Gossip Girl." Mike tells Kate that he is trying to expose and end corruption at the school by going after Headmistress Burton, and the two of them confront her about the bribery. Burton admits that she is relieved to have been caught and asks them to report her. Against Mike's wishes, Kate gets Burton fired.
